Time to call in the professionals! Hair, makeup, glam. We recently caught up with Anthony Diletti, Owner of Diletti Salon and Spa in Stoney Creek to find out the latest hair and makeup trends, the services they offer bridal parties and how the staff at Diletti Salon and Spa keep brides nice and calm on their wedding day!
LS: Tell us a little bit about Diletti Salon and Spa?
AD: Established in 2016, our main goal at Diletti Salon and Spa is to make you feel special and look great. When you walk through our doors we promise you will enjoy a fun and friendly atmosphere where you can take in every moment as you relax and take some time away from your busy day! We are confident that our staff will provide you with precision hair cutting, styling, detailed highlighting and many other personalized services for any age executed by stylists who are continually striving for excellence. With a team of seven stylists, some of which have 40 years of experience, each stylist contributes to form a dedicated team of professionals who continually update their education to serve your hair styling needs. As a salon team, each stylist specializes in cutting and colouring techniques with Schwarzkopf.
LS: What kinds of services do you offer for bridal parties?
AD: Our salon is well known to accommodate weddings with bridal parties of any size. Our staff will use their expertise and creativity to make your wedding day that much more special with the perfect creation. We also offer make-up services, along with manicure and pedicures for bridal parties.
LS: What kinds of trends are you seeing in the wedding industry right now in terms of hair and makeup?
AD: As of right now, 2018 is a year of romantic, effortless luxe hair. A touch of elegance and sophistication paired with what makes you – you.
Tousled, textured and perfectly imperfect messy hair is the perfect way to showcase modern and fresh visions of hair glamour. Whether you have long or short hair, there’s a wedding look for you. Your hairstylist can always add extensions to your hair if you’d prefer a fuller look. Our stylists will also work with you to pair your hairstyle with what will work perfectly to truly set your wedding look. Whether it be a wedding comb or bridal hair pins, with or without a blusher, a veil with or without embellishments we are ready to give you picture perfect hair!
LS: Hair stylists and makeup artists are up close and personal with the bride and wedding party on the big day. How do you keep the Bride calm – and keep the makeup on?!
AD: Our friendly staff always make each customer who walks in to our salon and sits in our chairs feel right at home. Our mobile services also gives the bride and her crew the ease of being in their own space. At Diletti Salon and Spa we offer Bridal Trials, where the bride along with the mother of the bride can come in and experience a glimpse of what to expect on their big day. Our staff really takes the time to understand exactly what the bride wants and will execute it to perfection. This will give the bride one less worry on her big day!
LS: What is one of the proudest moments Diletti Salon and Spa has had?
AD: Diletti Salon and Spa has had many proud moments. Our clients always leave with a big smile on their face and we have grown very close to many of our clients and feel like they are a part of our family. Opening Diletti Salon and Spa was a proud moment for me, as I have been a hair stylist in Stoney Creek for over 19 years. Diletti Salon and Spa earned top 10 best hair salon for the Hamilton region in the Readers’ Choice award for 2017. As the proud owner of Diletti Salon and Spa, I am a very passionate Hair Stylist, who runs a successful business and who loves giving back to the community. I dedicate my time every February to perfectly execute a Fashion Show, which raises money for the Jurvinski Cancer Centre and McMaster Sick Kids. These two organizations are very near and dear to my heart. At the salon, every October we raise money for Breast Cancer. We also donate care packages to the Jurvinski Cancer centre to patients who are undergoing cancer treatments.
LS: What is the most rewarding part about working in this industry?
AD: The most rewarding part about working in this industry is the satisfaction and joy in making people feel good. The feeling of having a client who is sitting in your chair, trusting you to make them look beautiful, and the moment they turn and look in the mirror and are at a loss for words is truly the most rewarding experience. It’s extremely gratifying to realize we are responsible for making someone feel better about themselves. As hairstylists we often build a friendship connection with clients, and clients use appointments to relax and unwind. Our staff loves building relationships and giving advice, we make every experience a positive one!
